One of the best ways to learn about Americans and about American customs is to stay with an American family while attending Cal State Fullerton. If you are interested in living with an American host family, return the application form to the ISS office along with a $100 non-refundable application fee.
While some host families live a short distance from the campus, students may need to ride the bus (free of charge with CSUF ID card) or purchase an automobile, motorcycle, or bicycle for transportation.
The housing coordinator will make every effort to find the type of family and living conditions which you request on the application form.
The goal of the Cultural Homestay program is to match the student with a family who would like to provide a comfortable, friendly place where they can share cultural experiences with the student. Host families also provide two meals per day, the use of laundry facilities, a private bedroom with a desk, dresser, and closet.
